Xtend-A-Rack & Accessories

Xtend–A–Rack is available as either a 3 section or 4 section version. The 3 section version weighs 9.9 lbs (4.5 kg) and extends to 12.5’ (3.8 m). The 4 section version weighs 9.9 lbs (4.5 kg) and extends to 17’ (5.18 m).

Each Xtend–A–Rack comes standard with a ½” drive ratchet, a 90 ̊ drive head assembly and a carrying case. The case offers a quick and convenient way to protect the Xtend–A–Rack shaft from damage and to store the device and multiple couplings in one place.

Couplings are breaker–specific and must be ordered separately.

Specifications

Xtend-A-Rack is designed to rack low and medium voltage breakers with an arc flash boundary of 17’ (5.18 m) or less.

Reinforced Shaft

The fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) shaft is compliant with ASTMF711 for live line tools and has a electrical withstand rating of 100kV/foot. Note: It is not considered to be a live line tool.

Couplings for all major types of breaker

Standard couplings are available for all major types of breakers from leading OEMs including ABB, Eaton, General Electric, Powell,Schneider, and Siemens. Or, if required, Amidyne can design a custom coupling to fit your specific application. Each coupling is designed to be quick–change and requires no modification of the the breaker or breaker enclosure to be securely attached

Simple Maintenance

Maintenance is as simple as regular visual inspection, cleaning and the application of the recommended live line tool wax.

The standard Xtend–A–Rack is supplied with a carrying case and is ready to use out of the box.
