Like submersible units, Trayer manufactured padmount designs are built with 304 stainless steel, eliminating the rusting and maintenance painting typical with padmount equipment. Padmount designs are available in either a single side or double side access unit. Double-side access units replace older equipment when underground cables come up on two sides of the switchgear.
Double-sided padmount designs feature:
- Standard design with two openings on either side
- Ideally suited as retrofit equipment for older switchgear
- Lower profile than single-sided designs
